Despite their being 6.4 times more black on white crime and 31 times more black on white crime per capita, hate crime charges are almost never filed when the perpetrator is black and the victim is white. Only 0.08% of black on white crime is filed as hate crime charges, whereas in the reverse scenario 1.46% of white on black crime is reported as hate crimes. Which means prosecutors are 1725% more likely to file hate crime charges when the perpetrator is white and the victim is black.

We do not have to live like this.

Every year, hundreds of thousands of crimes on American soil are committed by repeat offenders, with federal data showing that a relatively small group of individuals are responsible for a disproportionately large share of violent and property offenses. Studies from the Bureau of Justice Statistics indicate that more than 70% of violent offenders released from prison are rearrested within five years.
